| Cataract
A cataract is when the normally clear lens of the eye becomes opaque or cloudy. As cataracts progress the vision becomes hazy and unclear.
Patients may also suffer from glare and inability to distinguish fine details. Reading, driving and television watching may become impaired.
Dr. Reynard has successfully performed thousands of cataract surgical procedures. Our advanced surgical techniques allow for quick-recovery and excellent vision.
Clear vision while minimizing a need for eyeglasses is our goal for your vision. Dr. Reynard is the inventor of phacoillumination™, a patented device approved by the FDA, that helps to reduce complications and the potential for
macular degeneration following cataract surgery. Dr. Reynard is also the inventor of a special surgical device that opens the pupil during cataract surgery.
This helps make cataract surgery safer for the patient and easier for the surgeon.
Dr. Reynard has lectured and taught cataract surgery techniques for many years to residents of the Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA. His students now practice cataract surgery in all parts of the country.
